Florida has been chosen to be a groundbreaking solar plant that will add solar thermal collectors to an already existing gas fired plant. Constructing it already started this week, that being the "Martin Next Power Generation Solar Center".
The result? Almost 3 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the span of 30 years, and all this while providing reliable, clean, power from the sun!
However, these "natural gas" power plants have long been criticized for being too costly to operate. And for people still with their head up their rear end thinking that solar power only works when the sun is out. What, they never heard of "solar storage"?
But to be safe, a hybrid is in the works just to make sure. And in case of a lunar eclipse that will darken the sunshine state for too long...
Our Australian friends are already experimenting with this type of plant with much trial and error, but a lot more success.
So, natural gas at night and solar during the day, it's a win win for everybody! Well, except "Big Oil" but they had their time now move over or ya might get burned by the sun!
